Acupuncture in treating xerostomia

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective for radiation-induced xerostomia in a small pilot study. It involved 19 patients who received acupuncture twice a week for four weeks and were assessed using xerostomia inventory and patient benefit questionnaire scores.

Toxicity indicates success in breast cancer

Vasomotor and joint symptoms in breast cancer patients receiving endocrine treatment may indicate treatment success, according to a retrospective analysis of the ATAC (Arimidex, Tamoxifen, Alone or in Combination) trial.
