Ocular infections:

Indications for: POLYTRIM

Susceptible surface ocular bacterial infections.

Adults and Children:

<2 months: not recommended. ≥2 months: 1 drop every 3 hours for 7–10 days; max 6 doses/day.

POLYTRIM Contraindications:

Ophthalmia neonatorum.

POLYTRIM Warnings/Precautions:

Discontinue if sensitivity or superinfection occurs. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers.

POLYTRIM Classification:

Folic acid inhibitor + antibiotic.

Adverse Reactions:

Local irritation or discomfort, superinfection.

Metabolism:

Hepatic.

Drug Elimination:

Renal.
