Yoga decreases Inflammation and fatigue in patients with breast cancer

the ONA take:

A recent study examined the results after 200 women participated in 90 minutes of yoga twice a week, for three months. When compared to the non-yoga control group, the yoga participants showed a interleukin-6 (IL-6) reduction of 11%, a interleukin-1 beta (IL-1B) reduction of 15%, and a tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-a) reduction of 10%. Study participants attending yoga also reported a decrease in fatigue and inflammation, and these reductions continued 3 months after yoga practice concluded.

Three months of yoga practice is enough to reduce inflammation and fatigue in breast cancer survivors, a study has found (Kiecolt-Glaser et al., 2014).

Even 3 months after the yoga practice had ended, participants were reporting 57% less fatigue and 20% less inflammation in comparison to a non-yoga group.
