Poor lifestyle choices blamed for large rise In liver and skin cancers

the ONA take:

Numbers generated by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show an increase liver cancer, kidney cancer, and melanoma in England. The authors of the study feel that poor lifestyle choices play a key role in this increase, even as survival rates are increasing.

In the last decade, incidence of liver cancer, kidney cancer, and melanoma in England has increased significantly; malignant melanoma increased 78% among men and 48% among women and liver cancer incidence rose by 70% for males and 60% for females between 2003 and 2012. The study authors feel that four in every ten deaths to cancer in England might be prevented via proper lifestyle choices, which include limited alcohol intake, reduced (or no) sunbed use, and smoking cessation.
