A new class of tumor-targeting agents, alkylphosphocholine (APC) molecule, can find dozens of solid tumors, and delivers a radioactive or fluorescent imaging label or a radioactive medicine that binds and kills cancer cells directly to the cancer cells. The APC targeting platform was effective in cancers as diverse as breast, lung, brain, and melanoma.
