The connection between what you eat and your risk of breast cancer may be controversial, yet some researchers say there are foods can be included to a healthy diet to improve prevention and treatment of breast cancer. Brightly colored fruits and vegetables such as sweet potatoes are carotenoid-rich and can lower the risk of certain types of breast cancer. Salmon may be an oily fish, but it’s high in the “good” fats. But if you don’t like salmon, other types of fish have the same benefits. Tea, especially green tea, is loaded polyphenols; keep in mind, the home-brewed kind is much better than bottled. Foods rich in ellagic acid, such as pomegranates, are another a good choice. Rounding out the list is mushrooms. A healthy serving of fresh funghi daily can help protect against breast cancer.
