Curcumin Is Emerging as a Potent Natural Cancer Treatment

the ONA take:

Research into curcumin has demonstrated potent chemoprotective and chemopreventive effects. Curcumin, a constituent of turmeric that gives the curry spice its yellow-orange color, produces anticancer effects through several different channels. However, it is poorly absorbed in its raw form. Some estimates suggest that only 1% to 3% of the curcuminoids are absorbed. But researchers have been investigating potential effective delivery systems for curcumin. This compilation of study abstracts reviews some of the studies on the therapeutic uses of curcumin, primarily as a cancer treatment or chemoprotective. All of the studies are from 2014.
